It was really fun to be involved in a brand identity project where this brand is a startup founded by 2 of my friends. Points is an inventory and Point of Sales application created specifically to make it easier for users to carry out retail business activities. The inspiration that emerged was simplicity shown through the letter P which represents the initials of the brand name.

A modern and minimalist logo with the letter “P” can give an elegant and simple impression. Remember that in logo design, simplicity is often key. Choose elements that are relevant to your brand identity and make sure the logo is easily recognizable.

The Points logo design is a sophisticated and modern representation, perfectly suited for a Point of Sale (POS) application brand.
Design Elements
- Geometric Figure: The logo features a white geometric figure set against a solid blue background. This figure is composed of four stylized, interconnected ‘P’ letters that form a square-like shape with rounded corners. The interconnected ‘P’s create a sense of unity and cohesion, which is essential for a POS system that integrates various functions.
- Inner Square: Inside the larger square, there is a smaller square rotated at a 45-degree angle, creating an impression of depth and dimensionality. This inner square adds a layer of complexity and visual interest to the logo.
- Negative Space: The central part of the smaller square forms a negative space that resembles the letter ‘P’. This clever use of negative space not only reinforces the brand name “Points” but also adds to the logo’s modern and clean aesthetic.
Color Scheme
- Primary Colors: The logo uses a white geometric figure on a bright blue background. Blue is often associated with trust, reliability, and professionalism, which are key attributes for a POS application. The white elements provide a clean and crisp contrast, ensuring the logo is easily recognizable.
- Contrast: The high contrast between the white and blue colors makes the logo stand out, ensuring it is visible and legible across various mediums and sizes.

Symbolism
- Unity and Integration: The interconnected ‘P’ letters symbolize unity and integration, reflecting the seamless and cohesive nature of the POS system.
- Depth and Dimension: The rotated inner square adds a sense of depth and dimension, suggesting that the POS application is comprehensive and multi-faceted.
- Professionalism and Trust: The blue and white color scheme conveys professionalism and trustworthiness, essential qualities for a brand dealing with financial transactions and customer interactions.
Overall Impression
The Points logo is a well-crafted design that combines geometric precision with modern aesthetics. Its use of interconnected ‘P’ letters and negative space creates a unique and memorable visual identity. The color scheme of blue and white reinforces the brand’s professionalism and reliability. Overall, the logo effectively communicates the brand’s values and functionality, making it an excellent representation for a POS application.
